>>769,770 It's not so easy to explain the reasons why team 2ch members run BOINC. Some of us have in mind that we participate as a volunteer, some others run because it is kind of more like a game, or benchmarking how fast the processor works. Perhaps some of us want to win against another team such as Easynews or SETI.USA, others have their background of lose their partners or parents because of cancer or the diseases which are not so easy to recover. Each of us have our own thoughts to participate in this BOINC and WCG Project.

However, since its operation has been ended in April 2007, many of us decided to move to work on World Community Grid, which have similar medical/bionic purposes of using grid computing, such as conquering cancer and Human Proteome Folding. World Community Grid has website that is already localized officially in Japanese. It was a huge help we could gather the numbers of member from Japan and as in Team 2ch. We appreciate to the translators who contributed for localizing WCG website, however not all of them are quite done. One of them we pointed out is that Frequently Asked Questions are not translated to Japanese... We take this seriously and feel important to be readable for newcomers to know what WCG really is about. People from non-Europe/America have much less understandings of how distributed computing works and contributes. In fact, some of us in our team may not even know the purpose of running WCG/BOINC programs at all. There is an opinion saying that localization would be the key in order to increase the numbers of participants and boost up the projects even faster. Many resources in world besides Europe are still in rest. We would like WCG team to focus on localizing in even more languages with much more contents, as well as keep managing the project and ask us for more crunching. We know we're asking too much for this and we understand how hard working on translation, but this is like an entreaty as of being #1 team in WCG. :)
